ONE-ACT SCRIPT

 Nightmare of the past : Dreaming for Change 

A dark and stormy night covers the whole convenience store of the season's family.

Euri the father is patiently waiting for customers, while his wife Erene is cooking for dinner, and at the cashier is their daughter peacefully playing around. (blown stage left)

Euri: (wooh!!) The sales today are super slow, there is barely a customer today.

Emily is so noisy that his father Euri comes to confront her.

Euri: Emily stop being noisy!

Emily: Blah... Blah... Blah... your always,wining, angry and grumpy (Emily will imitate her dad)

Euri: you stupid girl, come here!

Euri will chase Emily all around the store, until Emily accidentally stumbled a knife.

Euri saw the knife and the glimpse of his past triggered his trauma. A thunder suddenly strikes (Be and Euri's trauma becomes worse shouting and screaming on the stars.

Euri: No! No! ... Enough already ... I'm done.

Erene: Honey! Are you okay? What happen?

Euri: (Euri punched his wife) Get off.

Euri suddenly realizes that he is hallucinating. He will see his wife on the ground rubbing the bruised on her face.

Euri: What happened. What did I do? (crying and fear on his face begging to his wife that, that is not who he was).

Emily see the whole incident while hiding under the cashier on the left side of the stage)

Erene: What's wrong with you? Why did you act like that? What's wrong with a small knife?

Euri: You didn't know what I have been through.

Erene: I am your wife you can open it up to me.

Euri: Alright, I'm not who you know who I was. I know you my hands are always bloody.

Before I know you, I have been killing royal blood in exchange for money. It has been my job because someone is threatening my life if I did not follow them.

Erene: What? (with a teary eyes) Did you say royal blood?

Erene saw Euri as someone she did not know.

Erene: Did you know that my Parent's are killed? did you know that we are a royal blood? (She slap Euri)

Euri is speechless he did not say a word. He is stunned watching his family leave the store with his daughter. Euri did not say a word.

Euri will saw the knife (on the center).

Euri (Monologue): (Euri grabs the knife) Maybe I am always destined to be alone. (Angry) If Im going to suffer everybody should also suffer.

Euri will leave the store and return to his old job.
